HISTORY
Why we're building Persist.
About 15 years ago, my mother was diagnosed with brain cancer and given a six-month prognosis. Initial treatments were only effective for three months before failing. Fortunately, doctors identified Avastin (bevacizumab), a newly released therapy at the time, which changed the course of her disease. She went on to live another 15 years, celebrating many personal milestones before ultimately losing her battle.
Stories like this are why we do what we do. We aim to accelerate the development of life-saving drugs and improve delivery, so more patients can experience meaningful years and milestones with their loved ones — just as Karthik's mother did.

Karthik completed a Ph.D in Bioengineering with a focus on drug delivery to the brain from the University of Utah. He has over 10 years of experience across drug delivery, automation, and machine learning.
